China calls for ‘peaceful settlement’ of IIOJK issue

China has reacted strongly to the Indian Supreme Court's decision to revoke the special status of Kashmir, calling for peaceful resolution according to the United Nations Charter, Security Council resolutions, and bilateral agreements between India and Pakistan. China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that the dispute should be addressed peacefully, stating that the BJP government's unilateral move violated UNSC resolution 122. Kashmiri leaders have rejected the decision, while Pakistan has condemned it and pledged to counter India's illegal actions.
