Qatar seeks rapid international action to stop violence

Qatar has called for international action to stop violence in the Gaza Strip following renewed Israeli bombardment following a truce. The Qatari foreign ministry emphasized that continued bombing complicates mediation efforts and exacerbates the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip. It condemned all forms of targeting civilians, collective punishment, and attempts to forcibly displace citizens of the besieged Gaza Strip. The emirate is committed to continuing efforts that led to the humanitarian pause and will not hesitate to do everything necessary to return to calm. Iran blamed Israel and the US for resuming fighting in the Gaza Strip.
